Eblana Learning and Pearson Launch the First AI Student Workbook Series Built for the IB Continuum

Three Workbooks that Help Students in the PYP, MYP and DP Engage with AI Confidently & Ethically.

Eblana Learning and Pearson are announcing a new series of AI Student Workbooks, authored by Eblana Learning and published by Pearson, designed specifically for schools following the International Baccalaureate continuum. The series is the first of its kind built for the IB, and is available to pre-register from today ahead of its release in October 2026.
As AI becomes part of how students learn, create, research, and communicate, many schools are looking for a consistent, school-wide way to teach students not just how to use AI tools, but how to think clearly and act with integrity when they do. The AI Student Workbooks are designed to meet that need across every stage of the IB journey.

A coherent journey across the IB continuum

The series comprises three Workbooks, each aligned to a developmental stage of the IB:
  • AI Workbook for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP): building curiosity, exploration, and foundational understanding.
  • AI Workbook for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP): developing analysis, evaluation, and ethical reasoning
  • AI Workbook for the IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme (DP/CP): strengthening critical analysis, academic research, and TOK-style thinking.

Together, the three Workbooks give IB schools a consistent, school-wide approach to learning about AI and using it safely and ethically, progressing from curiosity and exploration in the early years to analysis, evaluation, and academic research in the senior years.

Hundreds of hands-on activities, built for understanding

Each Workbook is filled with hundreds of hands-on activities designed to take students beyond surface-level tool use and into genuine understanding of artificial intelligence. The activities include reflection prompts, case studies, ethical dilemmas, structured dialogue, model and response comparisons, and student-led projects.
The series is built on inquiry-led, project-based, reflective, and concept-driven learning, supporting student voice, critical thinking, and responsible decision-making at every stage.

A coherent journey across the IB continuum

The Workbooks are explicitly mapped to the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills across all three books, with targeted connections to the PYP transdisciplinary themes, the MYP key and related concepts and global contexts, and DP/CP links, including TOK-style thinking where appropriate.
Academic integrity and student voice run throughout, with practical strategies for transparent AI use, maintaining authorship, and making thinking visible through process logs, attribution habits, and drafting protocols, reducing plagiarism risk and strengthening a culture of integrity.
