Director of Teaching & Learning
At Verdala International School, one of our key goals this year has been to empower staff and students to realise the benefits of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning. Navigating this rapidly evolving landscape has not always been easy, especially with an overwhelming flow of information around tools, compliance with the EU AI Act to prepare for and a sense of fatalism about the irrevocable changes coming to the world of education.
Amidst this, we were looking for a trusted ‘one-stop shop’ who would be our ‘go-to’ partner for all AI-related questions. Discovering Eblana Learning felt like a perfect fit as they are focused on IB schools, and align with our educational values. Teachers have already found the Eblana Academy courses helpful in building their confidence and knowledge around various ways in which AI is impacting education.
Most of all, Rachel and Rita have been highly appreciated collaborators. They are generous with their time and demonstrate a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing schools. They have been keen to learn about our journey, sharing practical ideas, guidance, and examples of what might work well from other contexts. We are grateful for a strong start to our collaboration and look forward to building on this momentum next year.
